Calls at least once per week and each time the recording says that $$$ has been charged on my VISA card to Amazon. I don't have a VISA card and believe this call to be a scammer, and not just a telemarketer.

Got a call from this # saying my social security # had been breached. I asked the where they were calling from, the guy (with a thick accent) said SS Admin office in TX. I asked "is this the SS Admin headquarters" he said yes. I said "no it's not, the SS admin HQ is in another state...who is the SS Admin commissioner?" They hung up.

BEWARE!!! FAKE tech support number “John Williams Security Officer” and his Indian friends make phone calls claiming your identity is compromised and at any moment you may face life altering events. They convince people to allow them remote access into their device to assess the damage. Once in, they put on a tech show of all the dangers you’re facing and then tell the victim the fastest way to fix the situation is by purchasing gift cards and giving them the security codes. They then have you call them on a separate line 206-452-1749 (burner phone) to stay on the phone with them while you make your purchase and have you read the gift card numbers once you’re back to your vehicle. Meanwhile, while they were in your computer system they install a virus and slyly add themselves as the administrator to your PC. In a matter of days, your system will lock up and a LOUD warning message pops up stating your system is compromised and provides a 833-556-7666 support number. mimicking Microsoft support. They then sell you a five year plan of “protection” for $499.00 and sign a contract for 5 year service under the company name of DIGITAL PC HELP MERCHANT ID “ASPIRE [LINK] After doing a deep dive into these a*holes I found the initial phone number 877-706-0709 and the 833-556-7666 number are intertwined as calling them both I was put in touch with “John Williams” the security officer. I was not their victim, but an elderly man who I know very well was. $3000.00. Later, he sadly was fooled into thinking he was saving his identity because those jerks scared him that bad. They know what they’re doing, and they’re praying on the elderly. I have reported them to the police, FBI, FTC, and state officials.
